Summary:
The Vice President of Operations oversees all aspects of plant operations, including direct oversight of operational functions and dotted-line responsibility for other key areas such as quality, finance, and HR. This role is crucial in driving the company's operational strategy, ensuring that objectives align with the organization’s growth targets and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage plant operations across one or multiple facilities, ensuring efficiency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Own full accountability for plant performance, from product quality to operational timelines.
- Ensure optimal cost management while delivering high-quality products.
- Directly manage operations, with indirect responsibilities over supportive functions such as finance, quality, and human resources.
- Manage the plant’s P&L and balance sheet, ensuring sound financial performance.
- Develop and implement short- and long-term strategies to enhance operational productivity, quality, and service delivery.
- Drive innovation through the integration of new manufacturing processes and the continuous improvement of existing ones.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and all safety protocols.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and employee development, promoting an environment where staff are trained, motivated, and engaged.
- Communicate regularly with staff at all levels, holding plant-wide meetings and disseminating relevant operational information.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within the surrounding community, reinforcing the company's local presence.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- 10+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing or a similar industry, with a proven track record in management roles.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing principles, regulatory requirements for medical devices (such as FDA 21 CFR part 820), and ISO 13485 standards.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and safety/environmental management practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on team development and motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MRP systems.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- The role involves periods of standing, walking, sitting, and frequent use of hands for handling equipment.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds may be required occasionally (assistance is available for heavier loads).
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
