Core Job Summary
The Med Management Specialist (MMS) works under direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Operations. The MMS functions as integral member of the clinical management team with primary responsibilities in the management of medication inventory, storage, delivery, quality assurance, order entry, and customer service.
Core Job Functions
- Manages the receipt of medication inventory and samples at assigned clinic(s) including patient specific medication packages.
- Addresses medication management refill procedures with contract pharmacies
- Performs order entry of medication service process at the clinic dispensary, when applicable
- Performs clinical note documentation related to the medication use process.
- Manages non- clinical medication management and customer issues or complaints.
- Runs inventory analytic reports in preparation to support month-end business closing.
- Flexibility to travel to other clinic location within the regional area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Education
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Certification And Licensing
Pharmacy Technician Registration
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
Experience
2-4 years of experience in pharmacy operations, preferred experience in 340B and hospital
Knowledge, Skills, And Attitudes
- Strong customer service orientation skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Full knowledge of Windows Office Suite; particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic understanding of computers
- Strong problem resolution skills
